European Investment Bank (EIB) financing

The European Investment Bank (EIB), as an institution of the European Union (EU), finances long-term projects which contribute to EU policy objectives.

It provides financing packages with preferential conditions for the Crédit Agricole Group and Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring. The EIB’s packages are lines of credit at a subsidised rate to finance public and private investment projects in strategic fields defined on a country-by-country basis: backing of SMEs, green economy, education, transport, healthcare, etc.

These packages, granted based on our skill in the targeted fields, allow us to offer you more competitive solutions.

• The EIB provides packages to finance sustainable development projects, in an effort to support the French government’s objectives in terms of the growth of renewable energy installations (namely solar, wind, hydroelectric and geothermal power) throughout France.
• The other packages allocated to us are redirected to French SMEs(1) and MSEs(2) with a view to providing additional support for financing the economy (small and medium-sized productive investments in the areas of industry, services and agriculture).
• Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring in Spain has also benefited from the EIB’s support in financing for SMEs⁽¹⁾ and MSEs⁽²⁾ for the renewal of various types of commercial vehicles.
